Kids High School Strength & Conditioning Program

High School Strength & Conditioning Program

Why CrossFit DoneRight Strength and Conditioning?

Shannon powers through walking lunges holding 25# plate overhead.

CrossFit DoneRight Strength & Conditioning is a high-school strength and conditioning program based off the CrossFit methodology of using constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity to elicit superior fitness results. rossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many high-school athletes and the primary P.E. program for many home schools, and charter schools.  It is used by athletic teams, martial arts schools and many parents that want their athletes to excel on and off the playing field.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Healthy living requires that our teens push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump, effectively and safely regardless of whether or not they play athletics. As an extension of healthy living, high-level athletic performance requires similar abilities, if not to a greater extent.  Our goal is to support the specialist, but reward the generalist.

How is CrossFit DoneRight Strength & Conditioning Different?

Matt is a senior season at Shepherd College where he is a stand out soccer player.  When Matt got to training camp he completed the teams fitness test and was number one on the team.

CFDR Strength & Conditioning is designed for the athlete and non-athlete.  Both populations will benefit tremendously from the movements, variety, and intensity of the program.

Most strength & conditioning programs only focus on strength or endurance.  Participants of CFDR Strength & Conditioning will develop a variety of fitness elements including: strength, speed, power, flexibility, stamina, endurance, balance, agility, accuracy, and balance.

Finally, participants will be exposed to experienced and caring coaches whose goal is to not only develop athletic ability but to cultivate useful life skills.  Coaches stress life skills including: confidence, self-discipline, goal setting, focus, manners, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, academic achievement, and communication.  Success of our members off the field and in the classroom is just as important as success on the field.

CrossFit will improve your capacity in each of these 10 physical skills resulting in superior fitness.

  1. Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance
  2. Stamina
  3. Strength
  4. Flexibility
  5. Power
  6. Speed
  7. Coordination
  8. Agility
  9. Balance
  10. Accuracy

World-Class Fitness in 100 Words

  • Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that support exercise but not body fat
  • Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstands, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc. hard and fast.
  • Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense.
