Getting Started Beyond the Whiteboard

Beyond the Whiteboard

What is Beyond the Whiteboard?

Beyond the Whiteboard is an online journaling tool for tracking your daily CrossFit workouts. It also allows you to track other things such as goals, food journals, weigh ins, etc.

Why does it rock?

  • You can easily access it on our gym computer to post your wods (and don’t have to read your messy handwriting)
  • You can compare your scores to other CrossFitters at other affiliates across the country.
  • No more paper

How do I sign up and how much does it cost?

  1. Tell the Beyond the Whiteboard administrators – Justin, Amy B. or Gabe that you are interested in signing up and give them your e-mail address. The cost will be $20 a year payable to CFDR (discounted from $36 a year price by signing up with an affiliate)
  2. You will receive an e-mail from the Beyond the Whiteboard (http://www.beyondthewhiteboard.com) web site with instructions for logging in.
  3. Log in and begin posting your workouts.

How do I sign up if I already have a BTWB account?

If you are already a member of Beyond the Whiteboard, you can join the affiliate by clicking on this link and press “Join Gym.” The administrators will then approve your subscription. Please note that once you are joined through the affiliate, your credit card will no longer be charged the $3 a month price and will need to pay Justin the $20 annual fee.

How do I post my WOD results?

1. Login using your e-mail address and password.

2. You will be brought to the main gym page where you can “Post Result” for today’s workout.

3. Fill in all the relevant information for your workout. A couple of tips:

  • Make sure to check the Rx checkbox, if you go prescribed.
  • Use the comment box for notes on scaling, how you were feeling, etc.
  • You don’t have to enter all the details if you don’t want to (e.g. reps for EACH round, weight for each lift to a max, etc.)

Workout of the Day

  • Quote of the Week (5/21-5/26)
  • Weekend at Lake Anna – June 2nd
  • Pull Yourself Under the Bar
  • Thirsty? Tired? Hungry?
  • How much help are you getting on those banded pull-ups?
